Help OBOS Win a MySpace Impact Award

By Christine Cupaiuolo — March 5, 2007

I hear from women all the time who describe the positive impact Our Bodies Ourselves has had on their lives. Here’s the chance to turn that inspiration into action.

OBOS is in the running for a MySpace Impact Award, for organizations and individuals making a “positive impact” in the world.

Please take a moment to nominate OBOS — you do *not* have to be a MySpace member to take part. Simply click here: http://www.myspace.com/impactawards — and scroll down to the nomination box. Enter “Our Bodies Ourselves,” along with our MySpace URL, www.myspace.com/obos, and write a quick blurb describing why OBOS deserves an Impact Award. Select the health/safety category, and you’re done!

The whole thing takes less than a minute, and we’d really appreciate your support.

All of the finalists get free publicity and ad space on MySpace, and the winner gets a $10,000 donation. From past winners, it looks like smaller organizations are just as likely to win as larger organizations, so we may have a real shot here — and a real chance to increase awareness about all the great work that OBOS does.

Plus: If you haven’t checked out our MySpace page, please take a look — we currently have more than 1,500 friends, and we’ve received many supportive comments. We love making these connections. Viva la web!
