Cheryl de Jong-Lambert is the director for internal communications at NYU Langone Medical Center in New York City.
She lives in Manhattan with her husband, William; son, Riley; and daughter, Halina. In addition to her day job and keeping up with the children’s active lives, she and William coauthored the book “Outdoors with Kids New York City: 100 Fun Places to Explore In and Around the City,” and they continue to write the companion blog, Kids.Outdoors.org. Both are projects for the Appalachian Mountain Club developed in response to the national “No Child Left Inside” movement.
Cheryl was a Peace Corps volunteer in Guinea-Bissau, West Africa, from 1990 to 1992, an experience that influences her in big and small ways every day.
