Gary A. Richwald is a communicable and infectious disease expert with training in internal medicine, preventive medicine, epidemiology and women’s/reproductive health.
A graduate of Cornell (engineering), Mt. Sinai (medicine) and UCLA (public health and epidemiology/health services research), he lectures on sexually transmitted infections and immunizations in the graduate schools at UCLA and USC.
Gary was director and chief physician of the largest STD Program in the United States (Los Angeles) and is the medical adviser for the LA and Orange County HSV & HPV HELP support groups.
He has served as a consultant to the CDC, AMA and the California Medical Association Foundation, and serves on the boards of directors of several national, state and local scientific, educational and charitable organizations.
