Judi Hirshfield-Bartek has been a breast oncology nurse for more than 35 years. She presently works at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in the breast oncology program.
Judi has served on the board of the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) since 1992 and currently represents the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation. From 1998-2002, she was part of the “team of experts” on the SusanLoveMD.com website. She is also a past president of the Boston Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society.
Over the years, Judi has received numerous professional awards for her breast cancer advocacy, including: Schwarz Center Excellence in Nursing Education Award; Jewish Women’s Archive Women Who Dared Award, the National Breast Cancer Coalition’s Community Fundraising Award, and the Silent Spring Institute’s Rachel Carson Award.
Throughout her professional career she has seen very little change in breast cancer mortality fueling her strong commitment to the NBCC BreastCancerDeadline2020 campaign.
