Zobeida E. Bonilla is an assistant professor in the Division of Epidemiology and Community Health at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.
She has been working with the Latina Health Initiative of OBOS since 2001. Zobeida developed the OBOS curriculum for community health workers “Guia de Capacitacion para Promotoras de Salud,” and, with Ema Rosero, translated and adapted “De Camino a la Maternidad” from the original “Journey to Parenthood” (by Childbirth Connection).
She is trained in medical anthropology and maternal and child health, and has extensive experience in program evaluation and qualitative research. Zobeida received her doctoral degree in anthropology from the University of Florida and a MPH in maternal and child health from the Boston University School of Public Health.
