OBOS is a nonprofit organization that depends heavily on donations to support our work. Royalties from our books account for just 10% of our budget. Because we accept no pharmaceutical industry funding and have no advertisements in any of our products, the remainder of our budget must come from foundation grants, speaking honoraria, and individual contributions.

An easy way to give!
If you are shopping at Amazon.com, start at the OBOS website! If you click to Amazon.com from here, Amazon will give us a percentage of any sale you make (not just if you buy our books, but for any sale). You can do the same if you want to shop at Powells.com (an independent bookstore).
Another simple way to give: If you start any search at GOODSEARCH, they will donate a percentage of their advertising sales to a charity of your choice. Go to www.goodsearch.com/ and under the text that says "I'm supporting" use the drop down box to select Our Bodies Ourselves. Then use the same page to search the Internet. Goodsearch will donate about a penny to OBOS each time you click on the search box.
We participate on GuideStar, the online standard for nonprofit accountability.
