cesarean section

Cesarean section, C-section, or cesarean birth is the surgical delivery of a baby through a cut (incision) made in the birth parent's abdomen and uterus. Vaginal birth is much safer than a C-section for most birthing women and babies, although sometimes a C-section is the only safe option.
