condom (external)
An external condom (often called a male condom, or simply condom) is typically a latex sheath that fits over the erect penis and prevents sperm from entering a sexual partner’s body. An internal condom (sometimes called a female condom) is a pouch that is inserted into the vagina before intercourse to prevent pregnancy or into the vagina or anus to reduce the risk of sexually transmitted infections. Condoms are highly effective at preventing pregnancy and protecting against sexually transmitted infections. Condoms come in different sizes, colors, and textures.
