Chris Bobel is an associate professor of women’s studies at the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
She teaches Feminist Theory, Intro to Women’s and Gender Studies, Feminist Research Methods, Women in U.S. Social Movements, Gender & the Body, and Feminist Activism.
Her ethnographic research interests center on the sociocultural politics of embodiment. She is the author of “The Paradox of Natural Mothering” and “New Blood: Third Wave Feminism and the Politics of Menstruation,” and co-editor of “Embodied Resistance: Breaking the Rules, Challenging the Norms.”
She is currently working on a new project examining menstrual health campaigns targeting school girls in the Global South.
