Linda Layne

Linda Layne is the mother of two fine sons.

Her work includes “Motherhood Lost: A Feminist Account of Pregnancy Loss in America” and a TV series, “Motherhood Lost: Conversations.”

She is co-editor of “Understanding Reproductive Loss” and collections on motherhood and consumption, and co-editor of “Feminist Technology,” a collection that examines home pregnancy tests, menstrual-suppressing birth control pills, breast pumps, tampons, and more.

She is now studying intimacy and intensive parenting among single mothers by choice, two-mom families and two-dad families and is co-directing the Science, Technology & Society program at the National Science Foundation.
