OBOS People Through the Years

In 1969, a group of women met in a workshop on women’s bodies at a women’s liberation conference in Boston. Realizing how little they knew about their own bodies, they decided to do their own research. In 1970 they put together a course booklet to share their findings, and Our Bodies, Ourselves was born.

Since then, hundreds and hundreds of people — content contributors, editors, founders, board members, staff, consultants, global partners, volunteers, interns, and donors —  have shared their expertise to create health content grounded in women’s experiences and to ensure that Our Bodies Ourselves, the organization, thrived.

We post their many names here, in honor of the work they have done to improve the lives and health of women and girls around the world.
